About the author
Karin Thomas (1971) lives in the Netherlands and is a mother of four children. Her search for the great mystery of life took her to Egypt, Stonehenge, to crop circles in Wiltshire, Glastonbury and to the hunebeds in Drenthe, Holland. Back home again and looking at her daughters she realized that all children like to go on their own journey of discovery.
After having read numerous books, studying endless series of articles and following many courses she has now written her own book. For children, but also for adults who want to go on a journey to discover that the world is not at all what we usually think it is.
Parents and teachers
One night I had a conversation with my oldest daughter, eleven years old at the time, and all kinds of subjects were reviewed. I explained her about the latest scientific discoveries in the field of quantum mechanics, time, sound, light, the universe and the sixth sense. With astonishment I was witnessing that she understood all those complex concepts and even more, she asked questions and kept asking questions.
For every parent or educator this will be a familiar scene; your child asks the major 'why' and 'what about' questions, like a sponge waiting to absorb your answers. As a parent you are being challenged to give satisfying answers about issues you normally do not think about.
Out of the desire to bring all curious children into contact with the answers to their questions and to give all parents the tools to handle these seldomly adressed issues, the idea was born to write an exciting and informative book on these topics. It's nice to read 'Isa and Max and the flying skateboard' together with your son or daughter and, above all, to travel together in the wondrous world that's called 'life'.
I wish you a lot of wonderful moments, joy and togetherness.
Greetings,
Karin Thomas
